The Middle East and the West are both experiencing, even if with different modalities, a phase of social and political transition. The countries on the two shores of the Mediterranean are after all called upon to answer the same questions: can a proposal be gambled in the political debate which draws from personal religious experience respecting the plurality of the subjects on the field? Do universally shareable values exist on which to build a new social contract?
